LEADERSHIP CAMP

The goal of the 7-week leadership camp is to expose young people to a range of high-level life skills. Camp offerings will be for older high school teens aged 15-17 with a focus on three major components: Leadership, Creative Entrepreneurship and Enterprise & Financial Literacy from industry professionals.

The event will offer program segments on various topics such as public speaking, entrepreneurship, and money management, as well as a sports-focused section featuring community games and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament open to the public.

Participants will only need to bring a water bottle.

Breakfast and registration is 8:30am.

Hot meals will be provided at noon.

Program portions are presented by industry professionals.

Programs will have a challenge with associated prizes.

Sports

1. Sports focused on building small teams for 3 on 3 Basketball

a. Featuring Guest Trainers

b. Participatory Challenge Tournament to follow

2. Football, Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee

3. Community and Team Builder Games

Participants will need to bring a water bottle.

Attire: comfortable casual, not beach wear, be prepared for AC class to Sports field.


The camp is quite costly but scholarships are available for the invited teen. Camp is limited to 20 teens.


Bringing electronics (phones & tablets) to the camp is discouraged.

After July 1ST registration fees are non-refundable, consideration will be given in extenuating circumstances. No refunds will be made for no-shows. Substitutions are not permitted.

Health Information

Should there be any accidents/incidents requiring medical attention 911 will be contacted as well as parents/ guardians and transport provided via an ambulance. All minor accidents will be taken care of by camp personnel via a basic First Aid Kit. Should you object to any part of this statement please specify same and provide alternate instructions otherwise please provide your signature as an indication that you agree with the above statement.

The Island House is not responsible for administration of prescribed medications for camp participants. All medications must remain with parent or guardian and they may administer same during camp hours if necessary.

Consent and Disclaimer

The Island House and sponsors are not liable for any damages to participant’s assets in our Leadership Camp. I hereby register my child for the Island House Leadership Camp. I understand that the programme hours are from 8:30 am – 4:15 pm, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from July 1st to August 16th and that transportation will not be provided for participants. Please let us know upon registration if transportation is an issue.


The latest pick up is 4:30 pm. I certify that my child is physically able to participate in all physical activities of this camp. I hereby give permission for my child’s/ my photograph, group photograph, video and voice to be published on The Island House and our sponsor’s website(s), social media sites, in the local newspaper, television and radio. The Island House will not be held liable for the loss of any electronic or personal items campers may bring to camp.
